BYE BYE WINTER SEMESTER!

hello eggnog, boxing day, clubbing, family dinners, parties galore!

So, here I am.. sipping my eggnog latte, chatting on msn, watching ellen waiting for Jessica Biel to come on, and waiting for my soap opera to start in less than one hour. Oh, do you feel the stress leaving my body?! Cause, I DO! I'm so haaaappy. I slept at about two o'clock last night after finishing my last paper for the winter semester. It may be one of the worst papers but hey, that's how you end the worst semester of my life. But you know what? Andrea doesn't caaaaare cause she's dooooooone! Anyway, since today was my last official day at Kwantlen I decided to go to the bookstore and check out my booklist for the upcoming semester. I ended up buying one of the novels I need for my Lit class, 'Girl with a Pearl Earring.' Hopefully my lazyness doesn't completely take a hold of me during my holidays so I can read this book and not have to worry about it during the actual hectic spring semester. Let's hope. Moving on, I have so much to do still. Yesterday I finally started my Christmas shopping and I'm actually half done. I've got three people left on my list: HC Secret Santa, Mom & Dad, and my oldest sister, Marsha. So I have an idea on what to get my sister, I know I'm buying my parents the 40th anniversary edition of Mary Poppins (it was the first date they ever went on) plus ..with some luck.. a good hefty cheque, but my secret santa is like.. whaat? Dude, what do you want? I don't know! Oh well, I'll think of something soon. Besides that, the month's been a huge blur and I'm sure the rest is gonna go by just as fast. Actually, it's sean mozo's 18th birthday tomorrow. Oh that guy.. I need to ask him what he thought of Blade: Trinity. Ever since he got that job at famous players we talk about all the movies we've seen, oh sean.

News! I finally Q-U-I-T my Kwantlen job. It's funny how I handed in my two weeks on the actual last day of my calling schedule. So technically it's a hi, I'm giving you notice that you'll never see me again in this office. But I thanked my supervisor for everything and the next day after my fun-in-the-sun eight hour concession shift at cineplex, I headed over to a bowling alley in White Rock where the call center was having our Christmas party.. where I think I pulled a leg muscle! My left leg has been aching ever since and I'm even kinda limping as I walk, not so attractive. So, bye bye all Kwantlen things related for 2004!

I have a love/hate relationship with Rogers Wireless. Last week, what I thought was going to be a quick peak at the new phones at the rogers store near work became a rather large wallet lightener. In other words, I came in with questions on one particular phone and came out with a new phone. Ya, my new samsung e316. *drool* I'm so proud of it but I kinda got in trouble when my sister saw it. She like, flipped out asking me how much it was.. Hey, it was my Christmas present to myself. But, sadly.. it was too expensive that it exceeded my credit limit. So, the day after buying my phone my service was cut. Thus begins my loathing cycle for all things rogers. Thankfully, I got my vacation pay for the year and bada-boom my service was restored. Yey! Now, where's the love you ask? After coming home from my last day at Kwantlen work, I asked my parents if I had any mail for that day, expecting my mastercard to be coming. Stupid mastercard, how long does it take?! Anyway, my dad showed me a piece of paper left behind explaining that while I was home alone and sleeping, purolator came by to drop off a package for me.. but since I was sound asleep I didn't hear them. So, I'd have to go to their office in WHALLEY to pick it up. Bah! My schedule wouldn't allow me to pick it up on Friday and I doubted they would be open on the weekend. Therefore.. I went today with my mom after class. I jump into the car and my mom and I stare at the package. The piece of paper said I would be getting an envelope, but I was expecting one of those big flat white envelopes.. wait. Jessica Biel's on. Yey, Whistler's daughter. watch blade! brb! .. anyway, so I expected it to be in that kind of packaging but when I got it, it was in this big ass Brown Padded Manila "Envelope." So I open it and bam! MP3 PLAYER POUR MOI! I'm like.. whaaat?! So my mom and I are speculating where and why I got it. So I come up with all these theories and then like, three minutes before we arrive home, I look into the envelope and what do I find? A crumpled letter, of course.. duh! So I look at it and then I see the rogers logo on the header. I'm like.. ooohhhhh. In plain english: I love you rogers, for now. Because I got that freakishly expensive phone in addition to signing to a three year contract.. I got a free mp3 player! Oh Christmas is getting better everyday.

This is getting insanely long but there's so much to talk about. I'm having this phase where I'm incredibly in love with all songs by matchbook romance and switchfoot. Oh how soothing.. I should put them into my mp3 player. =) ya.. that's what I'll do... hmmm, I wanna go to sleep but I'm not tired.. maybe it's this latte. Oh well, so.. today my daddy's coming home from Nevada. He went there for the weekend with some of his guy pals and for this BLD conference. yup yup, when he left I told him to place $10 on black.. or was it red? I don't remember.. i just hope he won some money. Eh! Anyhoo, I guess that's pretty much all my brain can dish out for the time being. Happy Holidays y'all!

Do you remember me?
I sat upon your knee.. I wrote to you with childhood fantasies.
Well, I’m all grown up now and still need help somehow..
I’m not a child but my heart still can dream

So here’s my life long wish: My grown up Christmas list.
Not for myself but for a world in need.
No more lives torn apart,
that wars would never start and time would heal all hearts.
And everyone would have a friend
and right would always win and love would never end.
This is my grown up Christmas list.

As children we believed, the grandest site to see was something lovely wrapped beneath the tree.
But heaven only knows, that packages and bows, can never heal a hurting human soul.

No more lives torn apart
That wars would never start
And time would heal all hearts
And everyone would have a friend
And right would always win
And love would never end
This is my grown up Christmas list

What is this allusion called? The innocence of youth..
Maybe only in our blind beliefs, can we ever find the truth

No more lives torn apart
That wars would never start
And time would heal all hearts
And everyone would have a friend
And right would always win
And love would never end
This is my grown up Christmas list

This is my only life long wish
This is my grown up Christmas list

It's that time of year again.. and there's only seventeen days left to shop for presents. One word: SCREWED. I have the list of what to get people, although I still don't know who my secret santa is from work.. a few more days should help resolve that. I've been listening to Christmas songs for the past few days and I'm totally feeling the season. I love Christmas, I love everything about it and my upcoming Christmas bonus doesn't make things worse. =) So, plenty of things to do in less than three weeks! I've got my forensics take home exam to do, two 'finals' to prepare for and work, work, work. I'm very blessed to not have so many things overcrowding me this year in terms of schoolwork.. mind you I dropped that one crim class so that definately helped me out.

I can't wait for this semester to be over with! There's two work parties waiting, Marian coming home from Ontario, Natalie's nineteenth birthday at the Mirage, Annual Group Christmas dinner, New Years Partying, and the traditional family Christmas get-together. PLUS, clubbing.. again. Finally back to clubbing. I can't believe I went so long without going but that's beside the point. Finally some fun at the end of what I can say was the *worst* semester of my life. Thank God, I'm taking such great courses next year. Granted some, or should i say most, may be difficult but I took them with my favorite profs so, at least I got one good thing out of each class. ...eeek! So much to do, so little time.

So, I really haven't been updating this thing in a while. I guess it's because I don't go online very often anymore and stuff. I'm trying to stop skipping my classes.. going good so far but I still haven't gone back to my crim 1208 class, tomorrow's hopefully the day I go back, wait I mean it is the day I go back, right. So besides that.. school's actually going pretty great. I got one of my papers back and my prof gave me an A, I seriously didn't expect that but hey, an A is fine by me. I registered last week and I got all the courses I wanted for the Spring semester. I finally got a great schedule, it's the first time besides summer that I don't have any eight am courses, so I can finally sleep in and all that jazz. Also, I finally got days off! I don't have school on wednesdays & fridays, unbelieveable. Two days off, can you believe it? I'm so happy.. the price I have to pay though is seven hours of class on thursdays but that's not bad, I mean I was able to do six hours last semester. Wooooohoooooo, I'm so happy I got my courses.. this semester's gonna be great.

Work. Oh silly work. I've been working everyday for the past few weeks and I still find myself with less than $50 in my bank account then again I blame stupid registration for being so high. Besides that, double pay day this friday.. yey! My cineplex paycheck should help me with christmas shopping.. good ol' stat pay. Then my kwantlen paycheck.. I guess that'll just go straight to savings or something. Wait, ya.. savings. Must put all available money into savings. I keep forgetting that I'm actually saving for my car, finally. My parents are even helping me look for the one I want. I talked to a few people who just got cars and they've helped me out so far.. brian helped me look through some websites and I've pretty much decided on the type, just gotta find an old one.. and that's so hard cause it's a brand new kind. blah! So back to what I was talking about.. work. I'm pretty sure I'm quitting kwantlen after the semester's done. I want to quit now but I'll just wait till my friend and I finish planning the Christmas party. After that, it's transferring all available shifts to cineplex. It's not that I don't like kwantlen, it's just my spring semester won't really allow it and if I could really only work one day, might as well go for a six hour shift over the four hours at Kwantlen.

I'm officially on a green day high. I can't stop listening to their songs and yes.. so goooood. I keep forgetting to ask Eddy to borrow his cd.. must burn. ^-^ Oh, that reminds me.. HAPPY BIRTHDAY EDDY! Last night was awesome. I got off work at 10:30 and all I had planned was walking over to timmy's and grabbing those small sprinkled cakes for Eddy but then I thought to myself, maybe I should get some candles.. then I think Save-On.. then I think bigger cake. So I go downstairs and tell eddy to open the door when I come back. So I hop in the car and drive to Save-On, grab this yummy chocolate cake and candles, then drive back to cineplex. Luckily it was Jessica and Justin who saw me first and not Eddy. I go upstairs, kinda freak Sheena out by showing up from no where and show her the cake. Then we realize there's no lighter or matches.. so I go and ask Jeremy if there's some in the office and Sheena checks the lost and found. So Hannah comes into the staff room and saw what we were doing and she went to chevron with me and bought a lighter. So long story short, everyone's in on the plan, Jessica got Eddy to stay longer and I got some radios from the office for Hannah and I to use. We got Justin to ask Eddy to go to projection with him and Hannah, Sheena and I were waiting behind the staff room door for them. Next thing you know they walk through and we start singing happy birthday and eddy starts laughing and swearing at us. Good ol' Eddy, you can't fool us.. we know you liiiiiked it. So we ate cake, gave him his bday beats and yaaaa. It was awesome cake, really.. yummy yummy cake.
